Inspirational and powerful leadership
Mammoet mainly employs highly skilled technical professionals who are among the best in their field. Until recently, training primarily focused on employees’ technical knowledge and skills. Leadership and personal development had less priority.
Yet inspirational and powerful leadership is needed to remain innovative and at the top in terms of quality, especially in today’s fiercely competitive market. To retain the best people for Mammoet, strong leaders are needed. But the best technician is not always the best leader. That is why Mammoet developed the need for a new MD programme.
International programme
Mammoet has locations in 28 countries. The group of managers is therefore spread all over the world and consists of many nationalities. Ludens has been delivering Mammoet’s international MD programme for several years. The training moments are concentrated to limit travel for participants. Three times, the managers come to the Netherlands for a week for the Development Weeks. These weeks are filled with training sessions, coaching, games and networking. There is also room for inspiring speakers from Mammoet, and issues that are alive within the organisation are discussed.
Between the modules, participants stay in contact with both the trainer and the other participants. Video conferencing makes remote coaching and guided peer consultation possible. This keeps the continuous learning pathway intact and creates an optimal programme for this international group.
During the programme, participants work with video footage they have created themselves. They analyse the new strategy and make concrete what it means for their specific location. They turn this into a short film, including interviews and examples of working methods. In this way, the strategy comes to life for everyone.
