Who am I and what drives me?

How is it that we sometimes understand each other almost without words, while at other times we seem to speak an entirely different language? How is it that the message sometimes just does not land? Or that we seem to end up in the same discussion again and again, despite our good intentions?

Fortunately, it is possible to become much more effective with small adjustments.

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by human behaviour. In particular by how we interact with each other and what we can learn from that. The energy that is released when we realise how we can suddenly connect with the other person after all: that is my greatest drive.

As an actor and trainer, my goal is to be the connecting link between insight and action. By letting you experience what other options are available to you, you discover new possibilities in contact with the other person. This allows you to stay closer to yourself while also being more open to the other. Chances are that, suddenly, you do find a way through.

What is my background?

After completing my Master’s in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam (cum laude) and working for several years as a consultant in the FMCG sector, I completed the theatre programme at Stella Adler in New York. There I realised that the behavioural insights I had gained from an analytical perspective could be made clear and tangible through play and acting.

That was what I wanted to work with. Since 2010, I have worked as a training actor, and since 2014 also as a trainer.

To be able to work both at skills level and identity level, I continue to develop myself. I am currently following a two-year Professional Communication programme based on Transactional Analysis, NLP, systemic work and the Enneagram at Corael.

Finally, since 2011 I have been qualified as a yoga and meditation teacher (RYS200), and where appropriate I can add mindfulness and relaxation techniques to a training.
