Who am I and what drives me?

A good conversation in which you feel something happening in your body, a song that gives you a warm feeling, that goosebumps moment when you know: “this is right!”, the run-up before diving into something outside your comfort zone, rising above yourself when the pressure is on…

That gives me the feeling that I am learning and living: when I am touched. And that is something I wish for others too.

Knowing what touches you, and where you can touch others in life and leadership, is a beautiful journey of discovery in which I like to guide young leaders.

Getting to know your roots, talents and triggers makes your compass stronger. For me, that comes with vulnerability and depth, but above all also with humour and playfulness.

What is my background?

My roots are in the polder: I was born and raised in the Groene Hart. I am the third child in a family of four and come from an entrepreneurial and training-oriented family.

After studying Applied Psychology and completing a master’s in Work and Health Psychology in Amsterdam and Leiden, I worked in talent development for young professionals as a trainer and coach. I love singing and music, and alongside my work as a trainer and coach I earned extra income as lead singer in various band formations. In recent years, I have developed as a trainer and team coach for a wide range of organisational and team challenges, and followed training programmes in, among other things, Secure Base Coaching and systemic work.

Meanwhile, I am married to Martijn, proud mother of two children, and have returned to the polder, coincidentally close to our Ludens office.
