How do I get people moving in the desired direction?
When you step into a leadership role at NS, you immediately become part of an organisation that sits at the heart of society. This means you contribute to a healthy balance between economic, ecological and social interests.
This brings challenges when managing daily operations. How do I get people moving in the desired direction? And above all: how do I use my personality as an operational manager to shape change? How do I use my talent?
These questions are central to NS’s Personal Leadership for Operational Managers programme, which is delivered by Ludens.
Personal Leadership for Operational Managers
The programme starts with an intake and a three-way conversation between the participant, their manager and the trainer to define the learning goals. During these conversations, workplace challenges are explored and connected to themes around personal leadership.
The participants then spend eight months working on their personal leadership themes through peer consultation, supervision, practical assignments, employee surveys and classroom training. The starting point of the programme is that every manager already has talent and does not still need to become talented. That is why we work from “being” to “doing”: first discovering who you are, and from there developing personal leadership and achieving business objectives.
What does the programme deliver for participants?
Every participant naturally has their own growth path. Even so, after eight months participants have a clearer understanding of who they are, how they come across and what they want. They also show more of themselves and are better able to influence and inspire others. They have grown in autonomy, impact and presence, and in doing so contribute to the “NS of the future”
